Last Friday class we drove to the Castle Museum in Moers to see the exhibition “animals – nice and yummy”. We went by bus and took the line 914. On the bus, all the children and the teachers, Mrs. Kirstein and Mr. Scheitler sang “Happy Birthday” to Manolya. That was funny! Later, at the castle in Moers, Manolya had sweets for everybody – that was yummy!
Our guide was very nice. She showed us the exhibition about “professional” animals. We learned a lot of new things about all different clever animals – did you know that blind people in India don’t have guide dogs? They have guide horses – little ponies!
We saw many stuffed animals and we could touch a lot of things, for example different skins and furs: the skin of the pig was very raw, the sheep fur was very greasy and smelled a lot! There was another fur of a sheep, this one washed and very white and soft. The funniest thing was a model of a cow, which we could try to milk. Mrs. Kirstein tried it, too, but Selin was the best at that!
At the castle was also a very old store where we could rest a little bit and drink some cocoa. “We must do that again!”, said the children. After the exhibition, we ran around and played some time in front of the castle. The teachers made a lot of funny pictures. Then we went home again!
